Giving onto a pretty, private, gated and cobbled courtyard containing box parterres, climbing plants and birds, it is situated in a quiet location, a minute’s walk from the centre of the medieval market town of Hay-on-Wye, deep in the heart of the Black Mountains.

Sit outside in the courtyard on Persephone’s corner seat tucked in the box parterre, beneath the canopy of the cherry tree, and luxuriate in the birdsong and splashing water of the lead lion fountain....

As you enter the Coach House, you step onto the original flagstones, toasty from underfloor heating installed throughout the building, and wood burning stove. The first touch of many luxuries......

“The Brookfield Coach House is more lovely than I could possibly have imagined, cool and light and airy in summer and lovely and cosy by the fire when the weather turns cold. It's immaculately kept, there's so much space to unpack that it's like you own the place, it has a terrific bathroom and a really well equipped kitchen. So quiet and peaceful and only seconds from the centre of Hay.
